Question...last time I was at the ORD T1 Premier Access lane (at checkpoint 3) back in 2021, I'm pretty sure TSA gave me a Precheck card to hold, while my wife (with no Precheck) did the regular security procedure. Since then I've been using Clear on my own at checkpoint 2. Traveling with family soon and now we all have Precheck; does anyone know if it's still the case that we can do Precheck at the Premier Access checkpoint?
Secondary question: if my family is on a separate PRN (purchased together, then separated) and therefore doesn't have Premier Access marked on their BPs, can we all still use Premier Access together?
Thanks for any info!

it's next to the clear machines on the side that's open past 7:45pm (can't remember if it's north or south).

There's a tiny sign that says something along the lines of "restricted lane"

edit: not a PA line but for all premium cabin pax and employees etc.

To get to United premier access, go through level 3 door 1 (says premier access) proceed to nearest set of stairs downstairs, follow security line on the right and it splits to pre-check and premier access lanes, make sure you follow the premier instructions. Premier in Newark doesn't have the new scanners, so you have to take electronics and liquids out.

Only about half of the lanes were open. It took my son and his girlfriend over an hour to clear security - luckily we got to the airport extra early. Quite a few people were waiting for family in the regular security lines and were going to miss their flights. Honestly, if you don't have PreCheck or Clear, I would get there 3 hours early.

Was in MCO two days ago. Went through TSA at about 4pm. There was no Premier Access. For the United Gates all non-PreCheck lines were awful. That includes the Clear non-PreCheck line. I was #3 in the Clear PreCheck line for a few minutes with no movement when someone in the Clear non-PreCheck line pointed out to me that there was no line at all for non-Clear pre-check. I know this thread isn't about the Clear mess (it's been awful) but if I didn't have PreCheck I would have waited at least an hour to get through TSA, Clear or no Clear.

Edited to add: They don't have one line for the non-PreCheck. There are many, all parallel. You make your bet as to which will move fastest, and we all know how that turns out.

Four pages of posts based on OP’s erroneous “research” conflating Premier Access security lines with Premier Access check-in desks. The list is of the latter.

MCO is not EWR, I was commenting on EWR only, hence the Newark disclaimer. And FYI, if isn't premier access checking to the other poster below because I went through the prremier access security lane on United in Newark on 10/12/2023!

To answer this for anyone who's interested, ORD no longer does the PreCheck card at checkpoint 3. (I asked at checkpoint 3 to confirm.) All PreCheck goes through checkpoint 2.

You are actually referring to the Passenger Name Record (PNR) [not "PRN"] or reservation, which is identified by a six-character "Record Locator" or "Confirmation Number".

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your substantive question about Premier Access for companions on a separate PNR, but it sounds moot without a separate lane.

SAT HAS priority lane as of 12/13/2023. It says priority but not explicitly UA Premier Access, think crew will also go through it. . It only shows Premier Access on a "poster" when you get close and pay attention to it.

they only have premier access lane in terminal C I think. I was through the terminal A (new one). No premier access for security check.

Go to the web link provided in the OP: Premier Access® | United Airlines

And under "Premier Access FAQ" is the question: What does "exclusive security lanes (if available)" mean?

The answer is:

Priority security lines are only available at the following airports:

  • Albuquerque (ABQ)
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS)
  • Anchorage (ANC)
  • Austin (AUS)
  • Baltimore-Washington International (BWI)
  • Boston Logan (BOS)
  • Brussels, Belgium (BRU)
  • Chicago O'Hare (ORD)
  • Cleveland (CLE)
  • Columbus (CMH)
  • Dallas Fort Worth (DFW)
  • Denver (DEN)
  • Detroit (DTW)
  • Fort Lauderdale (FLL)
  • Fort Myers (RSW)
  • Guam (GUM)
  • Harlingen (HRL)
  • Hartford (BDL)
  • Honolulu (HNL)
  • Houston Intercontinental (IAH)
  • Jacksonville (JAX)
  • Kansas City (MCI)

  • Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Melbourne, Australia (MEL)
  • Miami (MIA)
  • Milan, Italy (MXP)
  • Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP)
  • Nashville (BNA)
  • New York LaGuardia (LGA)
  • New York/Newark (EWR)
  • Oklahoma City (OKC)
  • Orange County (SNA)
  • Orlando (MCO)
  • Panama City, Panama (PTY)
  • Paris, France (CDG)
  • Pensacola (PNS)
  • Philadelphia (PHL)
  • Phoenix (PHX)
  • Pittsburgh (PIT)
  • Portland, Oregon (PDX)
  • Providence (PVD)
  • Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ)
  • Quebec City, QC Canada (YQB)
  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU)
  • Reno (RNO)
  • Richmond (RIC)
  • Rochester, NY (ROC)
  • Sacramento (SMF)
  • Salt Lake City (SLC)
  • San Antonio (SAT)
  • San Francisco (SFO)
  • Savannah (SAV)
  • Seattle (SEA)
  • Singapore, Singapore (SIN)
  • St. Louis (STL)
  • Sydney, Australia (SYD)
  • Tampa (TPA)
  • Tulsa (TUL)
  • Washington Dulles (IAD)
  • Washington National (DCA)
  • West Palm Beach (PBI)

More airports may be added in the future.

The question is obviously, how accurate is this list of Premier Access security lines? (Or, as the webpage calls them, "priority security lines.") Not "desks," but security lines, lanes, queues, whatever.

There is NOT a Premier Access lane on the North side. I sadly don't have Precheck so I use this Premier lane every time I fly, super fast.

With all the recent DEN construction changes, is the DEN Premier Access still at this location on the SOUTH side? TIA

You're confusing "Premier Access" lanes/checkpoints w/ "priority access". There's some overlap, but "this list of Premier Access security lines" is NOT a list of airports with United "Premier Access" security checkpoints.

"Premier Access" is specific to United - that's what they call their dedicated priority access lanes for UA customer only, and usually only at United hubs. The list you showed are airports with priority lanes of various types. Just because an airport shows up on the list you showed, by no means does everyone with United Premier Access have access to a priority lane there. For example - Las Vegas. There is absolutely NO "Premier Access" lane for United customers there, but there is a "First Class" priority lane for all passengers. United passengers w/ "Premier Access" who are not in First don't get to use it. At some airports, there's "gold lanes" or such that do accommodate various airline status programs. London is such an airport - a United 1K in economy would be able to use the Gold lane there, but it is NOT labeled a "Premier Access" lane, and it is NOT exclusive to United or *A.

Honolulu has no First Class or Premier Access lines. I guess inclusion on the list is based on the availability of a PreCheck line (which really isn't an airline-enabled "priority line").

Many years ago HNL had a "Gold Lane" for quicker access to security. It could be that is what UA is referring to and they just haven't updated their list in a long time.
